#KirbyArtTributes
No, I'm not dead, just travelling and resorting to the ol' sketchbook during pub breaks. Observe in wonder at my drunken takes of the King's creations over the month of August!

It Feels Like the Year to Give Back
My good deed for the...well, my good deed.
Here's the online store: www.refractionexhibition.bigcartel.com. Note that there won't be any shipping through the store, but all prints will be run at once and delivered to the gallery of your choice in the 'Specific Instructions' window when cashing out. Posted items can be arranged by getting in touch through the store.

It's Not Like Me to Get All Christmassey...
....But the REFRACTION Charity artwork is all done and I'll be getting the venue list and website store up soon. With these prints priced to move I'm hoping to raise some serious coin for the BC SPCA over the holidays. For a look at all the prints (except for this one that will replace the current dark blue one...hey, it didn't reach the bar!), here's a link to the temporary site I set up to show tentative exhibitioners; https://boardguy.wixsite.com/my-site?fbclid=IwAR39Onco3d8GZrBT_m9A2ciMkdo5gin6Oz3-X5csg-5LFzOoHi4rzilk1Tg
Also today, I'm adding my Instagram link to the dashboard (Daddy's getting with it!)

The End of the Rainbow
Finally! 4 or 5 swings at bt, and I Finally got the green image I was searching for! I know work's impending, so I had to persevere and get this sucker done before being buried again. Time for the business side of things.

Blood Orange
Whew! This one took a few swings. I did two other complete passes for Orange, and neither of them hit right.

Tammy Gunn
Time seems to be permitting to play a bit, so I'm going to follow this trail of thinking and make another 5-6 of these coloured deco posters and have some exhibitions when things open up. They'll be printed in a limited run to raise money for something, though, at the moment, I don't know what yet.

Run Awaay!
Another angle on this concept. Clearly, there's a story here, but I don't think I'll be getting to it for a while. It's just nice to get away from the photobashing for a bit and cut loose.

Moon Wolf!
...Or Man-Wolf for the few in the know. Don't even start on the full moon shining on the moon, it's GOTTA be there! #Februwolfy was a hoot, and a good excuse to blow out the drawing pipes, now it's back to the photobashing, I guess...

Zombie Wolf!
Through a combination of getting hit by some board work and sending the novel out (!) to prospective literary agents, I've got small windows for creativity that prevent me pursuing more photobashes for a bit. Along comes #februwolfy! A post a day of werewolves on FB is just what the doctor ordered to bang out some quickies without too much labor. (I love the final effect of the novl illustrations I'm doing, but man, it's a miserable process to me). This guy's gel pen & sharpie, with a tweak in photoshop, full desk time...about an hour. Gotta love that.

Using That Covid Lockdown Time
Here's something new hopefully coming down the pipe... a book! Not a comic, but a BOOK. A book book. I had started the project when Covid hit, and found myself with a solid two months to run with something already rolling, which is always the way you want to be positioned. Nothing worse than staring at a blank page (or screen, in this case).
The initial idea was to go YA with illustrations, but the final project's become a bit more intricate than that in the end. I suppose these are the decisions best left to agents, should any deem the product worthy of their time. A wonderful experience so far, let's see if it finds a publisher. Hopefully, more news to follow!
